'19 Spring League Registration

Registration for the 2019 Spring League is underway!

All of our players are required to have US Lacrosse Memberships. The membership needs to be good through the season as it provides the club and its membership insurance coverage. During the registration process, you will be directed to the US Lacrosse website to take care of membership and it links right back to the ALC website once that is taken care of. 

When you register, you will find a description of uniform & gear requirements. Boys will need to purchase a stick, cleats & mouth guards...other gear can be rented. Girls will need to purchase a stick, goggles, cleats & a mouthguard...they wear far less protective gear. If you have questions about gear, please contact us. We do have boys helmets for rent and last year we found that they fit most of our boys, but we couldn't accomodate those with the smallest of heads. Play-It-Again Sports in Marysville was a great resource for those that we could not fit for helmets and they also rent out full sets of gear as well as sell new and used equipment. Lacrosse gear can be very expensive and renting gear is highly recommended to those that are trying the sport for the first time. 

I know that everyone would be very happy to know exactly when the season starts and what days of the week your player(s) will be practicing, but we are a ways out from knowing those details. This is what I can tell you...The boys will start practice in early to mid-February...last year Smiley's flooded and we were delayed a little. The girls will probably start at the end of February...their season starts later. The U9 season usually starts a little later for boys and girls. The number of days your player will practice is based on their age group... U9 would likely practice 1-2 days per week, 3rd & 4th will practice 2 days per week, 5th & 6th would practice 2-3 days per week and 7th & 8th will probably be 3+ days per week.

Wow...I'm exhausted! Last thing. When you register your player, there is a drop down menu so that you can let us know how you plan on being involved this season. We will need some parent support to make this season a success. Our fundraiser was awesome last year, but we will need help to make it work again this year, each team will need to have a "team manager" in place before the season starts to be a point person for desseminating info, organizing field set-up, score, keeping, team events, etc...
